Tell us what you want to make — we'll tell you what to weigh and how to prep it.
Enter the volume and concentration you need, then search for a substance. The calculator will tell you exactly how much to weigh out (for solids) or measure (for liquids), plus step-by-step preparation instructions.
For pH buffers like Tris-HCl and phosphate buffers, the calculator includes notes on which acid or base to use for pH adjustment and the effective buffering range.
For molar concentrations (M, mM, µM, nM), the calculator uses: mass = M × V × MW, where M is molarity in mol/L, V is volume in liters, and MW is the molecular weight in g/mol. For mass-based concentrations (mg/mL, g/L, %(w/v)), no molecular weight is needed — the calculation is direct.
